Ever since the change of management of this yakun, the standards have dropped objectively.
Haven't really encountered this issue in other Yakun outlets but the eggs here are inconsistent - sometimes undercooked, sometimes overcooked (like this picture). Perhaps the sous vide method is not working out and sticking w the traditional way might be worth considering.
Drinks have also not come out consistent, so many a times, we leave wondering why we would pay so much for traditional kaya toast set that misses on so many marks.
(I have lived in Clementi for almost 10 years and Yakun breakfast is a regular routine for me and my family, will consider not patronising this store soon)

The Magic is gone!!
From my first bite of my favourite combo, the toast bread and my special formulated egg mix, the taste felt different.
As I continued on, it affirmed my doubt. I see that the bread was changed, felt that the kaya tasted different so as the butter. The egg, soy sauce and pepper was not up to par too… overall the umami taste was lost!!
I will try another outlet and see if all outlet tastes the same.

I was utterly appalled by the bad customer service at this Clementi mall branch! Female counter service staff showed a disgruntled and sulky face when told that the butter cake was not edible. The promotional butter cake seemed an overnight piece and should be discarded instead.
The oil at the base of the butter cake was so much that I had no choice but to return it. It was not fit for consumption unless one wanted to have a stomach upset!
False marketing! What sort of promotional item was that? Why such bad quality and claimed that it was on promotion?
Counter staff did not even apologize but gave a sneering look to show her discontentment.
In addition, the seating arrangement is so squeezy and the place is always so warm. There ain't enough ventilation!
Would not want to patronise this stall ever again.

Used to be able to leave eggs to be steeped longer at counter, then I collect at my own timing to my desired doneness. Now they seem to change to be the ones deciding how long to steep for you for “more cooked”. So it’s still too raw for me.wonder why the drastic change.

The shop, like some other Ya Kun shop, is very stuffy. They try putting air cooler, but seems like the cooler itself is blowing warm air instead of cool air. 🙄
And then, seems like this shop is not doing well they can't even afford to replace the seat cushion, instead putting patches, and the patch is also broken, so uncomfortable to sit on it, see for yourself in the photo.
The Swiss roll is not worth it, the cream is so dry, I wonder how many days has it been in the shop before it was sold to me. 😐

Seating area is very small and tight, and it’s super hot. I paid like $6+ for a set, can’t remember the exact price but look at the Kaya?? Can barely taste anything and definitely gonna avoid this outlet from now on. Definitely not acceptable at all

Visited Ya Kun and was quite disappointed. Tables weren’t cleaned, and there was no air-conditioning — it was uncomfortably hot. Not sure if the mall aircon or their own system wasn’t working, but it made the dining experience unpleasant.

It’s been a Long time haven’t eaten Yakun.
My friend ordered set B which with Kaya and peanut butter and I tried the soy kopi.
The set is as usual and the egg is also good with the toast! But I think it’s too sweet for me.
The soy milk Kopi is also good , only ice one not hot choice.
Service is good 😊

Passed by this Yakun outlet last week and went in for a quick bite. The queue was super long but it very quickly cleared up. It was quite crowded that day but the employees were quick to clear the tables. At the cashier when I was ordering, I kept making many changes to my order, but the lady at the cashier was very sweet and patiently helped to edit my order. Honestly with the number of changes i've made, I would have been quite frustrated if i were the cashier. Kudos to the young girl! Thanks for the good experience! (:

Had a tea break here. Nothing will go wrong with a traditional breakfast food here in south East Asia, toast with butter and Kaya with soft boiled eggs, always cooked to perfection. Ya kun uses the brown bread which in my opinion is more fragrant than the usual white bread. Coffee is local styled as well. A very busy branch which may be difficult to get seats during peak hours.

best yakun branch i've been to so far. ever so consistent with their toast and butters. generous and thick butter slices given, no cutting corners in their ingredients at all! toasts are always consistently crispy and well done, and steamed bread soft and generous with butter and kaya as well. i always like to add butter and staff would always give an extra slab.
eggs are always nice and standard consistent as seen across all pictures. kopi here is amazing too. staff are all very kind and is a very cohesive team that work quickly with good service. staff would remember your orders if you are a regular! the hospitality is a big plus point. queue is always snakingly long at peak timings (mornings, post-lunch) but turnover quite quick.

Jun Hui Coffee has been a wonderful part of my daily routine, and I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for the consistently good coffee and overall quality of the drinks served. Whether it's kopi, teh, or more customized beverages, the quality is always excellent — smooth, well-balanced, and made with care. I’ve visited many coffee stalls, but Jun Hui Coffee truly stands out in terms of the taste and consistency of their drinks.
The efficiency and speed of service are also commendable. Even during peak hours, the staff manage the queues quickly and make sure drinks are served without long waits. The team clearly knows their workflow well, and that helps create a smooth, reliable experience that customers appreciate — especially when we’re rushing in the mornings or during lunchtime.
One of the highlights of Jun Hui Coffee is the clean and tidy setup of the stall. Everything is organized, and the work area is kept hygienic. As a customer, I value not only the quality of the beverage but also the overall presentation and cleanliness of the stall, and Jun Hui Coffee excels in this area.
However, I would like to share one area for improvement — and I say this with the intention of providing helpful feedback. While the coffee is great and service is quick, I’ve noticed that the larger-sized Chinese lady and the Filipino gentleman who serve at the stall usually do not greet customers or acknowledge them warmly. A simple smile or “good morning” can go a long way in creating a friendly and welcoming environment. While they are clearly capable workers who manage the preparation and delivery of drinks efficiently, a bit more customer interaction — even just basic eye contact or a nod — would enhance the overall experience.
To be fair, not every customer expects a greeting, but a cheerful attitude or brief acknowledgment can make a big difference, especially when regulars like myself come daily. It adds a human touch to the service and can strengthen the customer connection. I believe they have the potential to bring even more warmth to the stall, and I hope this small feedback is taken in the right spirit.
That said, I continue to support Jun Hui Coffee and remain a regular customer because the core of what they offer — quality coffee at affordable prices — is consistently strong. With just a little improvement in the area of friendliness from the mentioned staff, Jun Hui Coffee can easily rise to become not just a good coffee stall, but an outstanding one that people remember and recommend.
Thank you, Jun Hui Coffee, for the good drinks and effort so far. I look forward to many more mornings and afternoons enjoying your beverages.

Amazing experience at Yakun, Clementi Mall on the new opening! The eggs were perfectly cooked. And the bread tastes heavenly. Loving every moment of it. The staff were courteous and very attentive. Love the cleanliness and design of the entire area too.
Will definitely return to this area again for more:)

Great team work & service. Hakka server helps Indian cashier with orders from Chinese speaking elderly, addresses another senior uncle's curiosity about where he's from and when he'll go return to his hometown politely. Cashier is patient and auntie is diligent with clearing trays and cleaning tables. Enjoyed the busy yet peaceful ambience with its diverse mix of customers from all walks of life, Chinese & Indian.
Thank you so much for the warm eggs, some make them cold for easy handling and I really appreciate the effort they put into this despite the crowds.
French toast set $5.60, added $0.70 to upgrade the drink to ginger milk tea (total $6.30). French toast is good for people who like thick breads.
